Western Indian Ministries:
Serving the Lord Faithfully Since 1938

Who We Are: Beginnings
Present-day Western Indian Ministries began with the efforts of Rev. Howard
A. Clark, Sr. as Navajo Bible School and Mission. In 1938, he and a group
of dedicated Christians saw the need for training Navajo Believers and raising a
native church. The scope of the mission has grown over the years, but the
central goals remain the same today: to make disciples and establish
churches.

Who We Are: Today
The primary focus of the ministry is to proclaim the Good News to Native
Americans, using the inerrant, infallible Word of God as the sole basis for
ministry. Western Indian Ministries--WIM--is doing this through three arms
of ministry: Christian radio, Christian schools, and seeking to aid the
growth of indigenous (native) churches.

Who We Are: Fundamental Values
Biblically Based
The
primary focus of the ministry is to proclaim the Good News to Native Americans,
using the inerrant, infallible Word of God as our sole basis for ministry.
Christ gave us a Great Commission: to make disciples of every nation (Matthew
28:19-20). Discipleship includes evangelizing, training, and assisting
in developing a functioning church.
Indigenous Church Principle
The
ultimate goal is to see a strong, self-supporting, self-governing,
self-propagating, Biblical church lead by native believers. To reach that
goal, believers need to be thoroughly grounded in the Word and prepared to take
servant leadership roles in the church. Western Indian Ministries is doing
that through a number of integrated ministries.

Who We Are: Staff
Approximately 50 people serve in various ways at Western Indian Ministries.
Significantly, the Lord is leading more and more Native Americans to assist in
the ministry. We also have dedicated missionaries from other parts of the
country. Whether they are missionaries, teachers, or workers who come from the local area, we
thank God for their dedication and desire to serve Him in fulfilling the Great Commission.

The WIM Board of Directors
We could not function as we should without a dedicated Board of Directors.
