Our Three StationsKHAC, KTBA, KWIMHISTORY:A dream became reality in 1966 in Native American Country when KHAC went on the air! This was the first missionary radio station for the local Native Americans beaming from Window Rock, Arizona, Tribal Headquarters. Many programs were made locally in the Native languages. The Lord blessed abundantly and power has been increased to 10 kilowatts. A few years later, KTBA (5000 watt) was established in Tuba City, Arizona. Between the tow AM stations several Native American tribes, and many towns could hear the Good News and receive information. More recently, KWIM has brought the FM sound. The AM stations send a teaching message, and FM provides good listening to young families. All are dependent on the support of God's people. KHAC (880 AM) -- 10,000 Watts AM--is broadcast from our studios in Tse Bonito, NM and can be heard past Winslow, AZ to the west, past Grants, NM to the east, to St. Johns, AZ to the south, and to Shiprock, NM to the north. KHAC airs teaching programs in English the first half of each weekday, Navajo language programming several hours in the afternoon each weekday, several preaching/teaching programs Sunday morning, with Moody Broadcasting airing the rest of the time from Chicago.
KWIM airs two or three teaching programs in English each weekday, music for Christian teens several nights a week, several preaching/teaching programs Sunday morning, with Skylight Network contemporary Christian music aired via satellite from Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota the rest of the time.
KTBA airs teaching programs in English, Navajo, and Hopi languages throughout each weekday, with Moody Broadcasting airing the rest of the time from Chicago.
